Your journey, day by day

1. 1

   Day 1 — Santiago de Chile

   Arrival at the Santiago de Chile Airport and transfer to the hotel with your private guide. Santiago de Chile has always had its measured charms – fine dining, perfectly landscaped gardens, a famous seafood market, the stunning backdrop of the Andes – but in the past few years it has undergone a cultural metamorphosis. In celebration of Chile's bicentennial, the city poured millions of pesos into the construction of sleek new cultural centers, thoughtful museums and gorgeous green parks. The upscale neighborhoods of Vitacura and El Golf bloomed with stylish new art galleries, the new W Hotel started drawing A-list celebrities to its rooftop bar, and the faded but beautiful Barrio Brasil was infused with vibrant public art and funky youth hostels.

   Day 2 — Santiago de Chile Highlights

   Breakfast at the hotel. You will have a city tour to the most interesting sites in Santiago, beginning with a general view of the city by driving halfway up San Cristobal Hill. Then, we continue to the historic downtown district, visiting Main Square, Cathedral, Post Office Headquarters, and Santiago City Hall. We will also see the Government House "La Moneda". Afterward, we will take you to East Santiago, where you may appreciate modern buildings, with offices, apartments, shopping centers and restaurants. Return to the hotel and overnight.

   Day 3 — Santiago de Chile – Puerto Natales

   Transfer out and flight to Punta Arenas. Private Transfer to the Bus station and shared Bus to Puerto Natales, there you will be picked up and transferred to your Hotel in the city, by a private car.

   Day 4 — Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine National Park

   Today, enjoy a full-day excursion to the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park, one of the great natural highlights of Patagonia. The journey begins with a visit to Milodon Cave, located at Benitez Hill, approximately 25 km from Puerto Natales. It was here in 1895 that the remains of several prehistoric animals, including the giant ground sloth known as the Milodon, were discovered. We will spend around 30 minutes exploring the cave, observing its stalactite formations and a replica of the Milodon. We then continue to Torres del Paine National Park, where the landscape changes dramatically from Magellanic forest to the vast Patagonian plains, surrounded by rugged mountains, glaciers, rivers and crystal-clear lakes. Covering more than 242,000 hectares, the park offers an extraordinary variety of scenery, from turquoise waters and roaring waterfalls to imposing peaks covered in ice. A short 15-minute walk takes us to Salto Grande, the spectacular waterfall connecting Lake Nordenskjöld and Lake Pehoé. We then continue along a scenic route passing the Serrano River and Lakes Toro and Porteño, taking in the changing landscapes of the park before returning to the hotel. Torres del Paine rises dramatically above the Patagonian steppe, with its iconic granite towers dominating the landscape. The park has been part of UNESCO’s Biosphere Reserve system since 1978 and is home to an extraordinary variety of wildlife, including ñandú, Andean condors, flamingos and guanacos. The guanaco is one of the park’s great conservation success stories, with thriving herds now roaming freely across the open steppe. Overnight at the hotel.

   Day 5 — Puerto Natales - El Calafate

   Private Transfer to the bus station and shared bus to Calafate. Private Transfer into your hotel. El Calafate claims its livelihood from a single tourist attraction, the spectacular Glaciar Perito Moreno in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, It can be divided into two parts the north and the southern part, with El Calafate on Lago Argentino the gateway. The park is the second largest in Argentina, extending some 170 km along the Chilean frontier and covering some 759,000 hectares. It was declared a World Heritage region by UNESCO in 1987. Some 40% of the park is covered by giant ice fields, with 47 major glaciers of which 13 flow east descending into the park to feed the two big lakes, Lake Viedma in the north and Lago Argentino in the south. There are also about 190 smaller glaciers that are not connected to the ice fields. All together a great spectacle you have to see.

   Day 6 — El Calafate – Perito Moreno Glacier

   After breakfast, depart from El Calafate for a full-day excursion to Los Glaciares National Park, a spectacular landscape of ice, mountains and pristine nature. The highlight of the day is the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, located at the southwestern end of Argentino Lake, about 80 km from El Calafate. The glacier offers one of the most spectacular natural sights in South America. From the viewpoints and footbridges, you can admire its impressive 60-metre-high ice front and watch as enormous walls of ice occasionally break away from the glacier and plunge into the waters of Rico Bend or the Canal de los Témpanos (Ice Floes Channel), continuing their journey across the lake. The sight and sound of the ice collapsing into the water is truly breathtaking. Los Glaciares National Park has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to around 47 glaciers, preserving a cold and wild world that has existed for thousands of years. Perito Moreno is one of the most famous and unusual of them, as it is one of the few glaciers in the world that continues to advance. The glacier gradually moves towards the Magallanes Peninsula, on the opposite side of the lake, eventually coming into contact with the shore and the area of the footbridges and viewpoints. This natural cycle takes between four and six years. When the glacier blocks Rico Bend, the water level rises approximately 35 metres above its average level. Slowly, the water begins to carve its way through the glacier until the ice barrier finally collapses in one of nature's most spectacular displays. The glacier was named after the great Argentine explorer Francisco Pascasio Moreno, and its constantly changing landscape makes every visit a unique experience.

   Day 7 — El Calafate - Buenos Aires

   Breakfast at hotel. Flight to Buenos Aires. Prior to your arrival you will be transferred to the hotel.

   Day 8 — Buenos Aires Highlights + Tango Show

   City Tour Buenos Aires. This panoramic tour will take you through the highlights of South America's most European and cosmopolitan city. We'll drive along 9 de Julio Avenue where the renowned Colón Theater and the Obelisk, symbols of our city, are located. We'll visit Plaza de Mayo, surrounded by important historic buildings like the Casa Rosada, the Cathedral and the City Hall. We'll also visit Plaza San Martin, Alvear and Plaza del Congreso. The tour will drive us along the old fashion Avenida de Mayo and the dynamic Avenida Corrientes. Explore neighborhoods filled with colors and history, like La Boca and San Telmo, and the sumptuous neighborhoods of Palermo, Recoleta and the modern Puerto Madero, a busy gastronomic and entertainment area. In the evening enjoy an amazing Tango Show and Dinner. Tango is still alive. A good way of penetrating its spirit is visiting one of the restaurants that offers tango shows of an excellent level, to enjoy tango´s sensual magnetism taken to the stage by some of the best dancers, singers and musicians in Buenos Aires! After a delicious dinner, you will follow a spectacular presentation of acclaimed popular and sensuous Tango, performed by the world's best. It is the music of Buenos Aires par excellence. Tango is felt in the air of the city, as humidity!

   Day 9 — Buenos Aires – Fiesta Gaucha

   Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day excursion to a traditional Argentine estancia – Fiesta Gaucho (group tour with English-speaking guide). Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a glass of Argentine wine and invited to taste traditional empanadas, with a selection of fillings including meat, cheese and ham, chicken or vegetables. You will then have the opportunity to enjoy a horseback ride or a relaxing walk through the countryside, followed by a visit to the Gaucho Museum, where you can discover more about Argentina’s traditional rural culture. For lunch, a traditional Argentine BBQ featuring premium beef will be prepared. After lunch, enjoy an entertaining folkloric dance and gaucho show, featuring traditional music, dance and displays of cowboy skills, before returning to Buenos Aires.

    Day 10 — Buenos Aires – Montevideo (Uruguay)

    Full day tour in Montevideo from Buenos Aires (group tour) A driver will take you to the port of Buenos Aires, where you will pick up a ferry boat to Montevideo city by Colonia del Sacramento. Upon arrival at Montevideo, a guide will be waiting for you for a panoramic city tour. This walk covers the most important points of the city's Old Town and new residential neighborhoods. Inside the old city is visited: Independence Square, where the old Citadel Gate (Montevideo was a fortified city), then comes Matrix Square where the Montevideo Cathedral, The Cabildo, Plaza Zabala and Teatro Solis, all these pieces of history of the city. Then its the Palacio Salvo, first high-rise building in the city, Plaza de El Entrevero, continuing to the Legislative Palace where the Uruguayan Parliament meets.The tour continues visiting the following suburbs: The Prado, with its ancient history which houses the Government House, the Parque Batlle, which runs the Estadio Centenario, La Carreta Monument and the residential neighborhoods of Carrasco and Pocitos. The return is by the coast to the center of Montevideo. At the end of the tour, you will get back to port to take a ferry boat back to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, only a driver will take you to your hotel.

    Day 11 — Buenos Aires – Foz do Iguazu – Argentinean Side Falls

    Argentinean side of the Iguazu Falls for a full-day excursion through the spectacular landscapes of the national park. The Argentinean side offers an immersive experience, with a network of trails and walkways taking you through the rainforest and bringing you remarkably close to the waterfalls. The visit includes three main circuits: The Lower Circuit: A 1,700-metre trail through the lush jungle brings you close to waterfalls such as Dos Hermanas, Chico and Ramirez. Along the walkways, you can reach the foot of the impressive Salto Bosetti and enjoy close views of the waterfalls of Alvar Nuñez, Elenita and Lanusse. The Upper Circuit: This 1,300-metre elevated walkway follows the upper level of several major waterfalls, taking you to their edges and offering panoramic views across the surrounding landscape. The Devil's Throat: The ecological train takes you through the rainforest to the Devil's Throat Station. From there, a 1,000-metre walkway leads to the enormous Devil's Throat, where you can experience the immense power of the water from close range. Throughout the excursion, you will walk along the falls and through the surrounding rainforest, enjoying the spectacular scenery of this vast 55,500-hectare national park. You will walk around next to the falls to have a close look of the falls. You can feel the strength of the water and enjoy the 55.500 hectares of natural beauty!

    Day 12 — Foz do Iguazu – Brasilian Side Falls

    After breakfast, begin your exploration of the Brazilian side of the Foz do Iguaçu Falls, located along the Iguaçu River Canyon. The falls are part of a national park with unique flora and fauna. The 275 individual waterfalls, formed through volcanic activity and the displacement of the earth’s strata, converge towards the spectacular Devil’s Throat. As you follow the paths through the rainforest, you will encounter numerous waterfalls and viewpoints, with cascading water, mist and rainbows creating an extraordinary natural spectacle. The walk along the edge of the falls offers spectacular views and different perspectives of this magnificent natural wonder. As you approach the most powerful section of the falls, you can feel the immense force of the water and experience the breathtaking scenery at close range. Recommended optional activities – additional cost: enhance your experience with a thrilling Macuco Safari boat adventure or a visit to the colourful Bird Park.

    Day 13 — Foz do Iguazu – Rio de Janeiro

    Breakfast at a hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer in with a local guide. Rio de Janeiro – its green hills, blue sky, rocky mountains, beautiful bays, islands, beautiful beaches. The second most populous city in Brazil and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Hotels located on the most famous black-and-white tiled promenade of Copacabana, Leblon, Ipanema. The dreams come true in this city! If you arrive before dark, it will be possible to see Rio de Janeiro’s green hills, blue sky, rocky mountains, and palm trees on both sides of beautiful bays. By day or night you can walk at the famous black-and-white tiled promenade of Copacabana, Leblon, Ipanema. Maybe you will want to see and feel the lush life of the city during the night, or if you want to be alone with yourself, then, for this there is always a corner somewhere in between the palm trees, sand and ocean waves.

14. 14

    Day 14 — Rio de Janeiro - City Tour Sugarloaf & Corcovado Mountain

    City Tour Sugarloaf & Corcovado Mountain (6 hrs) After breakfast, your guide will take you to Praia Vermelha (Red Beach), where you will board a cable car to Urca Mountain. From here, enjoy spectacular views over Rio de Janeiro before continuing by cable car to Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf Mountain). From the summit, admire the magnificent panorama of Rio, nestled between the mountains and the sea, with views stretching towards Copacabana Beach. The scenery is especially beautiful as the sun sets over the beach. After descending by cable car, continue to the historic part of Rio de Janeiro before heading to the foot of Corcovado Mountain. Here, board the train that winds its way through the tropical rainforest, surrounded by lush vegetation and exotic fruits. After a short walk from the final station, you will reach the foot of the impressive Christ the Redeemer statue. Take time to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views over Rio de Janeiro before returning to the hotel with your guide.

15. 15

    Day 15 — & 16: Free Days in Buzio

    Enjoy free days to relax on one of Búzios’ beautiful beaches and discover the charm of this unique coastal destination. Located just 105 miles from Rio de Janeiro, the peninsula of Búzios is home to more than 20 magnificent beaches, crystal-clear waters and a beautiful landscape of exotic vegetation, blessed with a warm summer climate throughout the year.     Day 17 — Buzios – Rio de Janeiro – Back Home

    Breakfast followed by transfer to the airport for your international flight back home!
