Your journey, day by day

1. 1

   Day 1 — Rio de Janeiro - Welcome to Brazil!

   Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be transferred to your hotel. Rio de Janeiro has green hills, blue sky, beautiful bays, islands and marvelous beaches. It is the second biggest city in Brazil (after Sao Paulo) and, certainly, one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Beach hotels are situated along the whole perimeter of Guanabara Bay and, if you are staying in one of these hotels, the beauties of Rio de Janeiro are open for you all the time. Blue ocean water will call you to the beach. The most popular beaches - Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, are famous for their black and white tiled promenade. From early morning to late in the night you can see people playing soccer and volleyball on the golden sand of the beaches. For those who prefer active holidays, Rio offers opportunities to practice almost any sport: golf, tennis, surfing, rafting, diving, delta flight and many others. Numerous open cafeterias on the beach will offer you refreshing coconut water, freshly squeezed juices and other drinks. You can also see presentations of local musicians on the beach playing all kinds of music.

   Day 2 — Rio de Janeiro - Corcovado Mountain Tour & Christ the Redeemer Statue

   After a delicious tropical breakfast in your hotel, you will head out on a trip to see the world-famous Christ the Savior statue on top of Corcovado Mountain. A specially designed train will take you from the foot of the mountain along a winding road through the magical Tijuca rainforest where you will see some of the enchanting tropical wildlife on constant display in Rio, such as toucans, monkeys and armadillos. At the summit of Corcovado, 700m above sea level, proudly stands the iconic image seen around the world – a 38m high statue of Christ the Savior. But that is not the only breathtaking thing about this place – when up close to the statue you will be overwhelmed by the stunning panoramic view of the city, so high up it seems as though you are truly flying with the birds around you. From the far reaches of Guanabara Bay, to the Maracanã Stadium, all along to Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema and Gávea Mountain, you can see the whole of Rio de Janeiro.

   Day 3 — Rio de Janeiro - Sugarloaf Mountain Tour & City Tour

   After breakfast in your hotel you will be taken to the mythical Sugarloaf mountain, protruding abruptly from out of the ground like an asteroid just fallen from space. A magnificent cable car ride will take you up to Urca Mountain, the stop off between ground level and Sugarloaf. From there you can enjoy a smooth cocktail or sample some of Brazil’s many signature dishes. Once arriving at the top of Sugarloaf mountain you will see the captivating beauty of Rio from a different angle, To your left you can see Copacabana beach stretching off into the distance, and on the horizon the faint outlines of Two Brothers and Gávea mountains. Below you is the quaint and intimate Red Beach, while to your right you can see across Guanabara Bay to Niterói and, closer in, Rio’s Botafogo and central neighborhoods, with the unmistakable silhouette of Christ the Saviour casting its eternal gaze over the city. This trip is essential to gain a different perspective on Rio, and to truly understand its beauty.

   Day 4 — Rio de Janeiro – Foz do Iguacu

   After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Foz de Iguacu where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. “The Iguazu Falls receive their name from the Caingangues Indian word meaning 'great waters'. The falls are formed by the Iguazu River and consist of 275 separate falls; they are surrounded by the virgin jungle of Iguazu National Park which is home to about 2000 species of flora and 400 bird species (including parrots and toucans). The highest fall, the 'Garganta do Diabo' (Devil's Throat) reaches 70m (230ft), which is one and a half times the height of the Niagara Falls. Besides taking in the stunning view from one of the many `catwalks" visitors may try rafting or take a spectacular boat ride through the falls”

   Day 5 — Foz do Iguacu – Brazilian Side Tour with Macuco Safari & Bird Park

   After breakfast, we discover the Brazilian part of the waterfalls on the border with the Iguazu River Canyon. Even from a distance you will hear the sound of water, and when you get closer, you will definitely not have words to express emotions. Gorgeous paintings and landscapes will be in your memory and in photos that you will not forget to take. The Guarani Indians called this miracle of nature "Big Water", which is how Foz do Iguacu is translated from the language of the tribe. And for good reason, as the waterfall contains 275 streams that fall with all their might. This unique miracle can be viewed from both Brazil and Argentina. One of the amazing paintings is "Devil's Throat". There are many paths from where you can see this natural wonder. Don't miss your chance to be at the "Devil's Throat" and get millions of drops of water. There are viewing platforms that provide an opportunity to watch the birth of a miracle. Let's go together on an extraordinary journey called "Makuko Safari" through the dense jungle in an off-road vehicle. On the way we learn a lot of interesting things about the National Park. At the observation deck, a boat is waiting for us to take a close walk under the waterfalls. Take a look around: turbulent streams of water, green hills and dense tropical forests. To keep all these pictures as a keepsake, order a CD containing the entire journey! The tour will end with an excursion to the Bird Park. Not far from the National Park, there is an amazing corner with unique birds that live in enclosures, but can easily fly. We are sure you have not seen birds of such colors. Return to the hotel.

   Day 6 — Foz do Iguacu - Argentinian Side Tour

   After breakfast in your hotel, our guide will pick you up for a full day adventure to the Argentinian Side of the Iguazu Nationalpark. The Argentinean side is very different from the Brazilian one; there are the three trails leading you through the nature in the parc. The Lower Circuit: At a length of 1,700 meters, runways venture into the lush jungle to take direct contact with the breaking of the Dos Hermanas, Chico and Ramirez. Walking down a runway you can be at the foot of a huge seawall which is the fall of Salto Bosetti and you will enjoy the steep falls in the Saltos Alvar Nuñez, Elenita and Lanusse. The Upper Circuit: a walk of 1,300 meters, elevated runways will take you on the fall line of several major jumps, reaching the edge thereof. It provides an overview of the whole area from a greater height. The Devil's Throat: Accessed through the Rainforest with the Ecological Train arriving at the Devil's Throat Station. From there, after a 1,000 meters walk, you will reach the enormous 'Devil's Throat'. You will walk around next to the falls to have a close look of the falls. You can feel the strength of the water and enjoy the 55.500 hectares of natural beauty! Afterwards you will have a transfer back to the hotel.

   Day 7 — Foz do Iguaçu – San Luis

   Transfer to the airport for departure to San Luis. Upon arrival, transfer and accommodation at the hotel. Free time. San Luis is a beautiful old town located on the ocean. Not far from San Luis, the region with the cleanest air on the planet - Lençóis Maranhenses. The city is surrounded by mountains, so the climate here is very favorable, characterized by the incredible purity of the air. The historic center is a kind of open-air museum with numerous architectural elements and details where the cobblestone streets turn into narrow streets. One of the most beautiful examples of 17th century French architecture is the Palace of the Lions. Stairs leading to the palace, guarded by carved lions. San Luis is known as the capital of reggae in Brazil. In no other Brazilian city is this Jamaican rhythm so popular. Among the attractions of modern San Luis is not only a museum, but also the church that was built in the 17th century, markets, local food and many great beaches.    Day 8 — San Luis – Barreirinhas

   In the morning, at 07:00, you will depart for Barreirinhas (4 hours drive) along a good road. Along the way, we see local plantations. Barreirinhas is a very peaceful and charming town, situated on the banks of the Pregisas River. Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, located close to the city, is a wonder of nature, with unbelievable sand dunes. From March to September, nature forms blue lakes between the dunes. At 2:00 pm you will depart in a 4x4 vehicle to the heart of Lençóis, where we will take a tour of Lago Azul and swim in the lakes. We will stay there until late afternoon to enjoy the beautiful sunset on the dunes. In the evening, we return to Barreirinhas, where we can swim in the hotel's pool, stroll through the city's quiet night streets or enjoy the river at a local restaurant.

   Day 9 — Barreirinhas – Boat Preguica River Tour

   Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:30 am, we go by motor boat on the Preguica River. We will make a stop in Vassouras, also called small Lençóis, where you can have a refreshing coconut water, take pictures of the monkeys that live there, visit a small fishing village and climb the 160 steps to the Pérgula lighthouse, offering beautiful views. Of region. the dunes, the river and its sources, the ocean and the local vegetation. Then we continue our way to the village of Atins. Arrival and check-in at the inn. The rest of the day is free for your leisure time.

    Day 10 — Barreirinhas - Atins - Sao Luis

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will drive to Atins Lagoon. Departure from Barreirinhas in a 4X4 bib type vehicle, to cross the Preguiças River and continue on sand trails, lakes and dunes to Atins with an average duration of 1h30, upon arrival at the village we will stop at Atins beach, where we can take a shower and enjoy snacks in rustic bars by the sea. Then we will head towards Canto do Atins where we will stop for lunch at the “Dona Luzia” or “Seu” Antônio restaurant, famous for grilled shrimp with secret seasoning. After lunch, we will head to the deserted beach of Canto do Atins to swim in its warm, clear waters. We will then head into the Park's dunes towards the best lagoon to visit during the period, stopping for a swim and beautiful photos of this paradisiacal landscape. After the tour you will be transferred to Sao Luis.

    Day 11 — San Luis - Natal

    Breakfast at the hotel. At the appointed time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Natal. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in Pipa

    Day 12 — Natal - City Tour & Potengi River Boat trip

    Breakfast at the hotel. The tour starts in the Ponta Negra area. You will visit the 16th century Forte dos Três Reis. The fort is shaped like a star and still preserves old cannons. Afterwards, we walked through the history of Natal: Santos Reis, Rocas and Ribeira. Then we will head to the city's "Cultural Corridor", which includes the Cathedral and other attractions. Next stop - the tourist center. Here you can enjoy typical life in a market with local food and drinks that you definitely shouldn't miss! Then we will return to Ponta Negra. Visiting the symbol of the region - Morro Careca Dunes. We will end the tour with a pleasant and relaxing boat ride. Return to your hotel. City Tour + Boat trip (about 8 hours, with guide in English).

13. 13

    Day 13 — Natal

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport with an English speaking guide, for your flight back home! End of the Program
