Your journey, day by day

1. 1

   Day 1 — Rio de Janeiro - Welcome to Marvelous City

   Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be transferred to your hotel. Rio de Janeiro is green hills, blue sky, beautiful bays, islands and marvelous beaches. It is the second biggest city in Brazil (after Sao Paulo) and, certainly, one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Beach hotels are situated along the whole perimeter of Guanabara Bay and, if you are staying in one of these hotels, the beauties of Rio de Janeiro are open for you all the time. Blue ocean water will call you to the beach. The most popular beaches - Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, are famous for their black and white tiled promenade. From early morning to late in the night you can see people playing soccer and volleyball on the golden sand of the beaches. For those who prefer active holidays, Rio offers opportunities to practice almost any sport: golf, tennis, surfing, rafting, diving, delta flight and many others. Numerous open cafeterias on the beach will offer you refreshing coconut water, freshly squeezed juices and other drinks. You can also see presentations of local musicians on the beach playing all kinds of music.

   Day 2 — Rio de Janeiro – City Tour and Sugar Loaf Mountain

   After breakfast you have the change to go on a half-day excursion to the Sugar Loaf. The first stop is the Urca Mountain, with a wide viewing area that also offers the possibility to have a snack in the restaurant on top of the mountain. On the mountain of Sugar Loaf you will have a beautiful view of Rio, Copacabana beach, the bay, the surrounding mountains, islands in the ocean, bridge Niteroi, and the statue of Christ on Corcovado Mountain. After going down by cable car, the tour continues by car to the central regions of the old town of Rio where you can admire several old churches, monasteries, the main cathedral of the city as well as buildings in colonial style. Our guide will take you to a local restaurant where you can taste the delicious dishes of the local cuisine.

   Day 3 — Rio de Janeiro - Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer Statue

   After breakfast we set off on a tour through the city. Arriving at the station, the environmentally friendly train will take us through the jungle to the top of Corcovado. On both sides of the railway you will have spectacular views of Tijuca forest, inhabited by monkeys and other exotic animals and birds. On top of Corcovado, at an altitude of 700 m above sea level, you will stand in front of the symbol of Rio de Janeiro- Statue of Christ the Savior (38m) that was built in 1931. From top of Corcovado, you have a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and its surroundings like the Bridge Niteroi, Guanabara Bay, the Botanical Garden, the Maracana stadium and the Sugar Loaf.

   Day 4 — Petropolis & Ouro Preto

   After breakfast, depart Rio de Janeiro for Petrópolis, a historic mountain town located approximately 60 km from the city. Known as the Imperial City, Petrópolis was chosen by Emperor Pedro II as the summer residence of the Brazilian imperial family, offering a cooler retreat from Rio’s tropical climate. During the guided visit, explore the Imperial Museum, housed in the former summer palace and home to an impressive collection of royal furnishings, personal belongings and precious objects, including the imperial crown. You will also visit the beautiful Gothic Cathedral, where members of the Brazilian imperial family are buried. After the visit, continue your journey to Minas Gerais, arriving in the historic city of Ouro Preto, where you will spend the night.

   Day 5 — Ouro Preto - Colonial Heritage & Gold

   After breakfast, set out with your guide to explore the historic treasures of Minas Gerais. Visit the historic town of Mariana and the Passagem de Mariana Mine, where gold was extracted in the past, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region’s mining heritage. Continue to Ouro Preto, one of Brazil’s most remarkable colonial towns and the jewel of Minas Gerais. Once a major centre of gold mining and the stage for an important chapter in Brazil’s independence movement, Ouro Preto is renowned today for its beautifully preserved colonial architecture, Baroque churches and vibrant artistic and cultural heritage. Enjoy a guided city tour through its historic streets and discover the remarkable legacy of one of Brazil’s most fascinating destinations.

6. 6

   Day 6 — Ouro Preto – Inhotim – Salvador

   After breakfast, visit the remarkable Inhotim Institute, one of Brazil’s most important contemporary art destinations and one of the world’s largest open-air museums. Set amid the lush landscapes of the Atlantic Forest, Inhotim combines contemporary art, tropical gardens and nature across a spectacular setting. Explore its galleries, outdoor installations, sculptures and diverse botanical collections, where art and landscape come together in a truly unique experience. After the visit, transfer to the airport for your flight to Salvador. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Known as the African soul of Brazil, Salvador is a vibrant city where African, Portuguese and Brazilian traditions have blended to create a unique cultural identity. Music, dance, capoeira, Candomblé and Bahian cuisine are deeply woven into everyday life, giving the city its unmistakable rhythm and energy.

7. 7

   Day 7 — Salvador – Praia do Forte

   After breakfast, enjoy a half-day private city tour of Salvador, discovering the historic and cultural highlights of this vibrant Bahian capital. Explore the UNESCO-listed Pelourinho, the heart of the historic centre, with its colourful colonial buildings and lively streets. Visit the magnificent São Francisco Church, renowned for its richly decorated Baroque interior, and the Lacerda Elevator, offering spectacular views over the bay and the Lower City. After the tour, continue along the coast to Praia do Forte, a charming seaside destination north of Salvador, known for its beautiful beaches, tropical landscapes and relaxed atmosphere. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy the beginning of your beach stay.

8. 8

   Day 8 — 10: Praia Do Forte - Free Days

   Enjoy your days at leisure in Praia do Forte. Relax on the beach, explore the surroundings at your own pace or simply unwind and enjoy the tropical atmosphere.

9. 11

   Day 11 — Praia Do Forte – Foz do Iguaçu

   After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Foz do Iguaçu. Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and prepare for the following days of exploring the magnificent Iguazu Falls.

10. 12

    Day 12 — Foz do Iguaçu – Brasilian Side Tour with Macuco Safari and Bird Park

    After breakfast, embark on an unforgettable adventure at the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls. Follow the scenic walkways along the canyon and admire the hundreds of cascades before reaching the spectacular viewpoint overlooking the mighty Devil’s Throat, where the power of the falling water can be felt through the spray and mist. Continue your adventure with the Macuco Safari. Travel by jeep through the rainforest before boarding a specially designed boat for an exhilarating ride along the Iguazu River, taking you remarkably close to the falls. Prepare to get wet and experience the power of Iguazu from an entirely different perspective! Afterwards, visit the Bird Park, where you can walk through spacious aviaries surrounded by tropical vegetation and observe colourful toucans, macaws and many other exotic birds up close. Return to your hotel after an exciting day immersed in nature and adventure.

11. 13

    Day 13 — Foz do Iguaçu – Argentine Side Tour

    After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a full-day excursion to the Argentinean side of Iguazu National Park, offering a completely different perspective of the falls. Explore the park through its three main trails. The Lower Circuit takes you deep into the rainforest and close to spectacular cascades such as Dos Hermanas, Bossetti and Alvar Núñez. The Upper Circuit follows elevated walkways along the top of several waterfalls, offering impressive panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The experience culminates at the Devil’s Throat, reached by the Ecological Train followed by a walk through the rainforest. From the observation platforms, you can admire the immense power of the water as it plunges into the gorge below. After a full day surrounded by the extraordinary landscapes of Iguazu National Park, return to your hotel in the evening.

12. 14

    Day 14 — Foz do Iguaçu

    After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight back home. End of the Program
