Your journey, day by day

1. 1

   Day 1 — Rio de Janeiro

   Upon arrival at Rio de Janeiro Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel.* During the journey, your guide will offer a brief introduction to the city, answer any questions you may have, and assist with practical. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy your first impressions of Rio de Janeiro. Explore the city at your own pace or simply relax beneath the palm trees with a refreshing coconut water while the sounds of samba set the rhythm. Rio’s famous coastline offers another way to experience the city. Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon are renowned for their distinctive black-and-white tiled promenades, lined with open-air cafés serving fresh coconut water, freshly squeezed juices and other refreshments. Local musicians often add a lively soundtrack to the atmosphere along the beachfront. *Alternatively, you may opt for Fast Track Gold Service.

   Day 2 — Rio de Janeiro - Sugarloaf Mountain & Rio City Tour

   After breakfast, set out on a half-day guided excursion combining the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain with a discovery of Rio de Janeiro’s historic centre. Your first stop is Urca Mountain, where a viewing area offers the opportunity to pause at one of the local restaurants or bars before continuing to the summit of Sugarloaf. From the top, enjoy spectacular views across Rio de Janeiro, including Copacabana Beach, Guanabara Bay, the surrounding mountains and islands, the Rio–Niterói Bridge and the iconic Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain. The tour then continues by car through the historic centre of Rio Your guide will then take you to lunch, where you can enjoy local Brazilian cuisine. Included: VIP Access to Sugarloaf. For an exceptional lunch experience, we recommend Fogo de Chão, renowned for its Brazilian churrasco and spectacular views of Sugarloaf. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Al Mare, a seafood restaurant located within the luxurious Fasano Hotel.

   Day 3 — Rio de Janeiro - Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer Statue (4 hours)

   After breakfast at your hotel, set out on an excursion to Corcovado Mountain, home to the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue. A train takes you from the foot of the mountain through the Tijuca rainforest, where you may encounter some of Rio’s tropical wildlife, including toucans, monkeys and armadillos. At the summit of Corcovado, 700 metres above sea level, stands the iconic 38-metre statue of Christ the Redeemer. From here, breathtaking panoramic views unfold across Rio de Janeiro, stretching from Guanabara Bay and Maracanã Stadium to Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema and Gávea Mountain. After the tour, you can enjoy coffee and traditional Brazilian sweets at the historic Confeitaria Colombo.

   Day 4 — Rio de Janeiro

   Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy a free day to discover more of the city by yourself or ask for our optional tours. OPTIONAL EXPERIENCES IN RIO (Available at an additional cost) Private Helicopter Flight over Rio Take to the skies from Sugarloaf Mountain and enjoy a spectacular aerial perspective of Rio de Janeiro, with its endless beaches, the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, the Botanical Garden and the city unfolding below. Duration: 10-30 minutes Tropical Islands: Angra dos Reis & Ilha Grande Spend a full day exploring the idyllic islands of Angra dos Reis and Ilha Grande by boat. Enjoy time to walk, swim in the bay or pool, relax on the islands and savour lunch surrounded by the tropical scenery. Duration: 8 hours

   Day 5 — Rio de Janeiro – Foz do Iguacu

   After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Foz do Iguaçu. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

   Day 6 — Foz do Iguacu - Brazilian Falls & Bird Park

   After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel for a full-day excursion exploring the Brazilian side of the magnificent Iguaçu Falls and the nearby Bird Park. Begin with a scenic walk along the edge of the falls. Surrounded by the rainforest, the trails offer spectacular views of the falls and, sometimes, countless rainbows are created by the sunlight reflecting through the mist. Continue towards the most dramatic section of the Brazilian side, where walkways bring you close to the thundering waters of the Devil’s Throat. Feel the immense power of the falls as the water crashes into the river below, before ascending to a viewpoint overlooking this extraordinary natural spectacle. The experience continues at the Bird Park, a remarkable open-air sanctuary surrounded by rainforest, where colourful tropical birds fly and move freely. At the end of the excursion, your guide will accompany you back to your hotel. RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL ACTIVITY – ADDITIONAL COST: Macuco Safari – Embark on an exciting adventure through the rainforest by electric vehicle and on foot before boarding a thrilling boat ride that takes you close to the impressive waterfalls.

7. 7

   Day 7 — Foz do Iguacu – Argentina Falls

   After breakfast, cross the border into Argentina to explore the spectacular Argentine side of Iguazu National Park, home to the largest network of trails and walkways within the falls. RECOMMENDED RESTAURANT IN IGUAZU: Itaipu in the hotel Belmond das Cataratas (Brazilian & European cuisine).

8. 8

   Day 8 — Foz do Iguacu - Rio de Janeiro – Buzios

   After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and transfer you to Búzios.

9. 9

   Day 9 — ,10: Buzios

   Enjoy two days on the tropical coast of Búzios. Relax at your hotel, discover the surrounding beaches or simply take time to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of this beautiful coastal destination. For an additional experience, you can also arrange a boat trip to explore the nearby islands and secluded beaches.
